This standard ensures that teachers use many different strategies in their lesson plans to educate their students about the subject at hand. Teachers should use their interdisciplinary skills while creating lessons, along with incorporating visuals, hands-on activities, audio and text in order to allow students multiple different ways to learn. Through their lessons, teachers should also be educating students on how to critically examine content, better retain information, and apply knowledge in multiple ways. If the teacher uses a variety of instructional strategies, they will reach out to most, if not all, of their students. I’ve included an educational video I created and a PowerPoint that uses many types of instructional strategies to teach the art of presentations as examples of my knowledge of differentiating instructional strategies.

Social Learning Networks

I created a YouTube video on social learning networks for my coursework on classroom technology. I included different examples of social learning networks and how they can be useful to students, teachers, and parents alike. Using websites to host classroom content can be great for the newer generations of tech-savvy students and allow for a variety of instructional strategies due to its more creative nature.

Presentation Lesson

I created this PowerPoint for the ninth grade students during my student teaching before they took on a large presentation project. In this mini-lesson, I incorporated a video, a worksheet, lecture, and student engagement through questions. This variety of instructional strategies kept students engaged in the lesson and added diversity to the typical PowerPoint presentation.
