This standard ensures that teachers have fully mastered the content they were hired to teach. The teacher most likely spent at least four years studying this content in depth, alongside their years of primary and secondary school. With this knowledge, the teacher creates engaging, accurate, and beneficial lessons for their students. If a teacher is not highly trained in the subject they are teaching, the students will not get a quality education. Praxis II
In order to begin student teaching and obtain my teaching licensure, I had to pass the Praxis II content test in the English Language Arts area. I passed with a score of 183, a high-average score. With passing this exam, I showcase that I have mastery of the English and Language Arts content area required to be a teacher in Virginia.

Virginia Communication & Literacy Assessment
Same as the Praxis II, I had to take the VCLA to student teach and earn a Virginia teaching license. I passed with a score of 251, broken down in the image to the right. This passing score shows that I have a mastery of the communication and literacy needed to become an English teacher in Virginia.
